Morrinsville Road will be closed to through-traffic from Monday 16th February until May/June, so you won't be able to drive straight through this section as usual. Access to our clinic will still be possible, but you'll need to follow the signed detour routes.
The recommended detours use nearby connecting roads and are designed to keep delays to a minimum. For most clients, this will mean allowing approximately an extra 10 minutes of travel time, depending on where you're coming from and traffic conditions. Luckily, for the most part you will be going against the traffic and delays should be kept to a minimum.
We recommend leaving a little earlier than usual, especially if your pet has a scheduled appointment. Please see the map of the road closure and some suggested alternative routes below.
We strongly advise checking Google Maps for travel time prior to your appointment.
While road closures are never ideal, we fully support these safety improvements. As part of the local community, we believe it's far better to be inconvenienced for a few months than to see more serious accidents or lives lost on this stretch of road.
If you're unsure about the best way to get to the clinic, please don't hesitate to give our team a call — we're always happy to help.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We truly appreciate your support while this important work is underway, and we look forward to seeing you and your pets as usual.
